David Quek | Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Cuprina, David provides strategic leadership across the company’s medical device commercialization, regulatory affairs, and overall business operations. He successfully led Cuprina through its initial public offering (IPO) and listing on the Nasdaq, positioning the company for accelerated growth and international expansion.
Earlier in his career, David served as Brand Manager at ABR Holdings, an SGX-listed company, where he was responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across a portfolio of consumer brands. He subsequently held the position of Business Development Director at OEL Holdings, also listed on the Singapore Exchange, where he led the expansion of the medical device portfolio, managed strategic partnerships, and oversaw regional sales activities within the healthcare sector.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia (UWA) and a Specialist Diploma in Aquaculture Management & Technology from Temasek Polytechnic.
Dr Naresh Waran | Head of R&D
Naresh is a Good Clinical Practice (GCP)-certified cell biologist with vast experience pertaining to stem cells culture. Prior to joining Cuprina, he was a senior regulatory specialist at the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA), where he focused on clinical trial applications and health product legislations. Dr. Waran was also a postdoctoral researcher at the Singapore- MIT Alliance for Research & Technology Center, and a research fellow at Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) Singapore.
Jey Chan | Financial Controller
With 10 years experience in accounting, finance and audit, Jey is primarily responsible for overseeing financial functions, tax and corporate secretarial matters. He has previously held various positions including manager, assistant manager, audit supervisor and audit senior at Ernst & Young in Singapore and Malaysia, as well as audit manager at PKF-CAP LLP, a member firm of the PKF International Limited network. Jey also served as a finance manager at OEL Holdings, a Singapore company listed on the SGX.
