Our Story

Cuprina was founded on a straightforward idea: that biological materials, when properly understood and developed, can produce medical solutions that outperform conventional alternatives.

That idea led to MEDIFLY, a bio-dressing using live, medical-grade maggots for chronic wound debridement. What began as a niche therapy with limited commercial availability in Singapore has since expanded to Hong Kong, with further plans for the Middle East and mainland China.

The pipeline has grown alongside the business. Cuprina is now developing collagen-based wound dressings derived from American bullfrog skin and exploring leech-based wound therapies, both of which reflect the same founding principle: find what works in nature, develop it to international standards, and get it to the patients who need it.
